Default Need More Power


Hello all,

I have a stock 69 302 and I'm lookin to make it a little more fun.

Where do I Start

Currently has
2bbl carb
standard ignition
2 chamber flowmaster

4 bbl
intake manifold
and a bunch of other stuff, other people are going to say!!

cylinder heads....thats going to make the most difference....it will probably make you homeless too if your young.........

depends on how much you are willing to spend and how much extra you looking for?? if you want an extra 20, then new carb and intake manifold. should run you about 400 if you can install it all your self.

Anything to make it breathe better, and burn the fuel more efficiently will add HP. Aluminum after market heads, intake manifold, 4v carb, headers, dual exhaust with H or X pipe and electronic ignition all play an important role, but these parts have to be coordinated. Just slapping on a 4V carb and not changing anything else will give you very little more HP.

remember....the better it breathes...the better it drinks gas......not sip....but more like chugs......so dont cripple yourself finacially and not be able to afford it afterwards....
