Ebrake don't work...

Default Ebrake don't work...

of course the ebrake doesn't work and i live on a hill! i have been just putting the car in 1st gear for a couple weeks. how much for a shop to retighten it?? should i have the whole assembly replaced??

there is a simple adjustment under the car. connected to the cable is a bolt with a locking nut on it. get under the car and tighten that up. it takes less than 5 minutes

Extremly simple job. Don't pay a shop to do it.

The emergency brake mechanism is probably the most basic mechanical component on your classic. Crawl your lazy butt under the car and see what needs to be adjusted or replaced. I am going to bed. Enough of these silly questions.

anyone got a refrence picture to where this bolt is located?? and it ain't no silly question buddy.

Its right in the middle of the car, underneath it. It will have a cable connected into it and then two cables running to each of the back wheels.
