Default Adjusting carb on a 200 I6...

How do I adjust it lean/rich. I have a lot of white smoke coming out the exhaust right now, so I'm assuming it's running lean. How can I adjust this? I really don't know. I have a temp tach that I'm going to hook up and adjust the idle on when I get some help from you guys, so I need to know this:

1. How do I adjust the idle speed?
2. What should the idle speed be at on a 200 I6?
3. How do I adjust the lean/rich level?
4. How can I tell when I have the right air/fuel mixture?

Thanks for the help, and since I already ate lunch, I guess I'll have to drink one of mommy's beers. Yummy.

1- normally a set screw on the linkage. You have to unplug some vacuum line to do this adjustment
2 - Auto - 850 rpm, Manual 750-800 rpm
3 - there is usuallya set screw at the base where you do this - there is a procedure but I don't know it
4 - It's part of the procedure for step 3

$0.02

White smoke is not mixture related (unless you have a diesel engine). Most likely it is either moisture, or ATF sucked up through a leak in the vacuum modulator for the automatic transmission.
If it is just moisture it will burn off once the car is up to operating temperature for 10-15 minutes. If it is coolant, you will notice the level decrease, and the moisture/smoke doesn't go away. If it is ATF, you'll see it when you pull the hose off at the vacuum tee on the back of the manifold. Pull the hose off and plug the "T". Won't take more than a few minutes for the smoke to stop.

Not to be a jerk-dick, but... not a good idea to work around machinery during, or after, drinking. Rule of (keeping your) thumb is: work first, then drink. Pass out, sleep it off, wake, eat... repeat cycle.
Isn't that the American dream? [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

The only external mixture adjustment on a carb is idle mixture, as it implies it will only adjust the mixture at idle. It will not help with white smoke from the exhaust.
