saggin down low.
i took my car out of the garage yesterday and let it sit in the yard for a while, i noticed the rear end seemed to sag down pretty low. most likely worn out leaf springs. i got under it and im pretty sure they are the original leafs and it had Gabriel Red Rider shocks, ever heard of these? my question is what leaf spring set up should i run, an inch higher, an inch lower, or stock height. i also want to put the 1 inch drop coils in the front and plan on runnin 235/45/17's in the front and 245/45/17's in the back. any suggestions and places to shop would be greatly appreciated. 1968 Coupe 289.
i have a 1968 mustang coupe with 302 and i have 235/45/17's on my car and it sits a tad high in the back....im probably going to get new leafs with reverse eye's so it will drop one inch to match the 1 inch drop coils up front......
just depends on the stance u want.....

I'd believe you Glen. I measured the front end on the '66 with original 6 cylinder springs and they had no measureable sag. The original stuff was darned good. You might find the 620 coils a bit stiff, you can compensate for that with softer shocks.
Before doing mid eye springs, I'd go to a local spring shop and have a set made. I'm not a fan of bending the leaf at the eye. Just a personal opinion.
It will take some time before the springs take their "set", so don't freak out when you put the new leaf springs on, and it looks jacked up.
