Default windshield installation

Where can I find installation instructions for a 66 cpe. front windshield and rear glass?Or does anyone have any pointers. I have installed glass before in other cars. I read somewhere that a caulking is used along with new seals for the glass?
thank you
mike

Here are the 66 shop manual instructions. There may be more up to date guidance, but this seems pretty straightforward (except for the special tools).

The 65 and 66 both had a rubber gasket....After that, Ford only used a sealant. Here is an article that will help you. http://links.vintage-mustang.com/FAQ...w_removal.html

Here are a couple of videos I've made for 1970 coupe windshield and back glass installation, for whoever needs it.

I hope you find them helpful.

It's standard procedure to use 3M "bedding and glazing" compound along with the rubber seal.
Starting in 1969 Ford stopped using a rubber seal on Mustang windshields and the procedure is completely different and uses different materials. So best to ignore any info presented about 1969 and newer windshield work.
You want to follow the Mustangs To Fear method in another thread close by.
