I recently found that my fan on my 65 fastback (289) was cutting into my lower rad hose slightly. The fan has no shroud, has a 2 inch spacer and measures exactly 17 & 3/8 ". Is this the correct fan for my car? Should I have one that is 17". I need to know what other owners have on their mustangs. I have ordered a shroud. Do I need to remove the spacer. The big question is can I or should I have a 17" fan.
