were does it go

i have a question theres a pipe that you put a vacuum line to the pipe runs down by the trans i was wondering whats the pipes purpose?

By your description, and assuming its an automatic trans, that would be the vacuum line to the trans modulator valve.

I agree. I just found out mine was pinched between the bellhousing and the block by the PO. And thats why she didn't shift too well.
