Default New Parts!

Ok well i got the 69 mustang mach 1 home and now the process begins. Once again it has a 1990 302HO in it.

1. No power steering: I need to restore the car back to power steering. I dont think the steering box was converted properly, i think the pump and brackets were just removed. How should i put powersteering back in her?

2. Whining noise from rear that coorelates with the engine's rev's at higher speeds. 2 things i've heard. Theres a sound dampener missing from the leaf springs or something like that. And 2'nd that maybe the differential has low gear oil.

3. The clutch has alot of free play before it actually engages. Any possible adjustments?

4. The rear drum brakes randomly lock up when i use medium braking. Even if rolling up to a stop sign.

I need to get this car to be a daily driver so those are on my priority list. If you have any answers to the problems that would help alot. Thanks again.

first off, nice car. secondly, haircut time. it's too hot for that bro! mine was that long not too long ago. and i'll take a stab at the power steering problem. as far as i know, you can put a mustang II setup in there, plus i think there are a few aftermarket setups developed for our cars. here's a few links for information:

Wow, if i spent an hour searching i probably couldnt find half that information. I guess i need to go through the car and find out what i already have. So would pretty much any PS pump that fits a 90 302 complete the system? Wouldnt i have to change the pulley system?

Thanks again. Any one else who wants to take a stab at any of the problems listed above go for it, it would help me alot. Thank you.
