Default Stock Speaker Location?

Can someone tell me where the stock speaker locations are on a 68 coupe?

If its the same as a 67 you got two on the back dash behid the seat, one behind each front kicker panels and one under the front dash in the middle. There are aftermarket kicker panels that let the speaker show through.

NOOOO. STOCK, they only had the speaker under the dash. NOW, they had options which put some behind the rear seat.

+1

Stock cars had no provisions for speakers in the kickpanels. Aside from the aftermarket kits to put two 8" subs behind the rear seats, they also make aftermarket kickpanels that allow you to run 5.25" rounds (but these are new units).

BTW, if you're interested in doing the sub thing in the back, one manufacturer incorrectly says that 8" subs are the largest you can run. This is not true. I put two 10" subs behind my 68 coupe. The trick is to pick a sub that has a shallow enough basket to allow you to place it low in the space between the hump in the trunk and the panel the subs will mount on.

Best,
