Default 65-66 trim

Those crome trim pieces in front of the rear wheels, I was never able to figure out which came on what year. Ive seen these 2 differnt styles and also cars (like mine) with none. Which years had these?

That trim piece was originally for an air induction system to cool the brakes on the original concept Mustangs. It just took to the production line because it looked cool. Even the most modern Mustangs have that fake air induction trim piece installed. Just one of those design things that makes it a Mustang.

Yeah, all production average models had them to include the 6 bangers, but the GT's were above fake trim.
