I've seen the bench in the 65-66 models, but was it an option in the 67-68's?? I've never seen one.
yes it is, i almost bought the same car as yours except in coupe body style and it had a bench seat. i decided against it because i didnt like the fact it had a bench seat and also because i would feel bad not sticking with the original paint (even though its not my favorite, its still original and was in great condition).

if ya don't mind takin more, could i see one from the front of the car, like thru the windshield?

it looks good, but not really going to go with what i want. if i ever find one that has a bench in it you damn well better believe i'm stealing that SOB!

well thats my point....i like it in original sense....but i had my heart set on a black mustang and it would of killed me to tear off that nice paint so i just passed on it....it was a decision made in the cars interest.

Ahh...I see. That was me too...I don't like changing original colors, and the lime has grown on me over the past 20 years.

mine came with a bench seat. tho that's up in the attic right now and it wont be seeing the car again for a while. i wasn't aware how rare they were. i know 67 produced 400,000 cars roughly, and of that, about 8,000 had bench seats. yea, i guess that is rare. it will definitely be going back in.

Yeah the 256 you see under the the 68 in fastbacks with deluxe bench is the same one my dad owns. Its raven black gt 390 with maroon deluxe bench seat, and a 4 speed. According to Marti auto works, his particular car is one of 3 and as far as my research goes in th gt registry, there is only his left in the world, so the very rare. They were even more uncommon in 67-68's with a 4 speed becasue the biggest problem is you cant get the car into 4th beacsue the seat is in the damn way!!!

hey slickman, whats that other **** on your door panel? is that for the mirror?

do the bench seats mount in the same holes as the buckets?

what years are the bolt pattern the same? ie if i found a seat out of a different year, could i put it in if i got the upholstery for my year car? it sounds the 65-70 had the same pattern. is that correct? will 66 uphostery fit another years seat?
