anyone know the exhaust laws in connectiuct particullarly concerning if it has to exit behind the rear wheels or is open headers are ok

 

It really depends on your location.

 

i seriously doubt open headers are ok! lol

 

Have a cousin who used to have a '70 scout when he lived in Kentucky. It had straight pipes with no mufflers at all. Ran it like that for a long time.

 

Well that doesn't mean it was legal. There's a big difference between open headers and straight pipes too. I would dare say that it's not legal to run open headers in any state. Even if there's nothing saying you can't, I bet you'd get pulled over for it. You have to check the laws or call the cops in the state you live in.

 

id bet any exhaust exiting infront of the driver is illegal.
