Default Need Help

I am in search of doors for a 71-73 mustang.
I have a 73 mustang Mach 1 that I am trying to restore and am in need of doors.I am 16 yrs old and this was a car my parents bought for me to restore and learn on.
Thanks for your help.I am in the Michigan area.

Assuming you already have the original doors, but the skins are rusted out, you can get the skins from NPD. We have a site in the FAQ on how to replace the skins. If you don't have a welder or the skills to weld and tack on the new skin, then you may need to research for a donor car. But, they are getting harder and harder to find. You may wind up taking your car to a restoration place and have patches welded into the rusted out spots on your door.

I check at npd they are showing up to 1970 ,I also check other places they also show up to 1970.
the problem that we have is the inner shell on the bottom is totally eaten out by rust .The weather strip track isnt even on the door.
This is why I am looking for a replacement .
Do you know if you can use a 1970 shell and replace it with a 71-73 skin?

No, sorry I don't have that information or knowledge. My suggestion, since it is such a hard to find part if even possible, is to take it to a Mustang restoration place and have them give you an estimate to get it fixed. They should be able to manufacture the parts necessary to get her fixed up. If you don't get the right answer from the first restroration place, keep looking. I feel your pain.
