Too many v6 mustangs!
I don't understand these people who go to sell their old mustangs and label them as V6! I see that a lot. Also, why do I find a bunch of 6cyl for like $7-12K while I'm still seeing v8's anywhere from $4-8k and beyond? Are the 200ci's just kept in better shape or are the owners banking on the better fuel economy and hope that that will drive up the demand and price of their car with today's oil situation? It's interesting. Oh yeah, also, I want to get one of these mustang SEDANS that I'm reading about online!
no its just people who dont know what they are talking about trying to sell it to that sorta about to retire type crowd who thinks the only place to find used cars in in autotrader. Anyone in the know would know to look around a lot more like craigslist and ebay and what not.
its not an actual sedan mustang, its just someone who dosent know the definition of coupe or sedan....ive seen a green one with vinyl top....67 or so, all over the internet.....the guy was calling it a sedan when in reality, its a two door coupe.
If you've never had a 6 cylinder Mustang, you don't know what you are missing!
So I'll tell you... "Not much".
V6? Halucinagenic drugs will do that. I'd suggest using caution around these people.
Sedan? That's short for sedantary, as in "without enough power to spin the tires, the car is no fun to drive and is therefore Sedan...tary".
The price may have to do with condition, or originality, or could just be in answer to someones question of "Pick a number between one and one hundred thousand". Until you look at the vehicle, you really don't know it's worth.

Yeah, I see that V6 thing a lot too. You have to understand that most people are not Mustang or even engine savvy, and 99% of them have not even seen a straight 6 banger in any car. So, just chalk it up to ignorance.
yeah, i was wondering why i saw V6 over here. that's pretty funny. the pisser (as i understand it) is that they made and sold more I6's than V8's (once again, i may be wrong) but the I6 is a dying breed of stang. most of the origionals have more than likely been swapped for 8's and without spending enough on mods to buy a 500RWHP V8, the 6's are too under powered, they got an *** load of torque tho.
ORIGINAL: Crash

no, i ment in the classic section. i saw v6 and had to check what section i was in. i didn't think they had V6's till like 79, and i've heard that even the early foxes had I6's
Yeah, I was about to move the thread to the V6 section when I read the thread headline.
I'm not sure when Ford started putting V6's in Mustangs. Maybe somebody can chime in and edjumicate us.
