NOOO!!! Disaster!!! Need some advice...
Hi guys this morning i woke up and took off my radiator... Than I checked the level on my oil only to find water on my dipstick!...I dried it and checked it again and still got the same results... My first reaction was that my heads were fried [:@] (and that i got ripped off... I paid 4500 for the car) than i checked my sparkplugs to see if they were wet, but thank god they werent... Do you guys think it could maybe be the water pump, head, or intake manifold gaskets? Also when i took off my sparkplugs I found a bunch of oil around the thread, what does that mean?
how much water on the dipstick? just a drop? There is air in the crankcase, and it's not unusual for some condensation to build up overnight... that gets burned right off though as soon as the car gets up to operating temp.
Have you smelled any sweetness in the exhaust, or seen smoke?

I wouldn't get too excited. The water could just be condensation build up in the block. As for oil on the threads of the spark plugs, it could just be leaky valve cover gaskets.
Here's a suggestion. If the car is a driver, change the oil and filter, clean up the engine/compartment, and drive it for a week. Check your water and oil each day, and look for leaks.
If the car only gets run 15-30 minutes at a time, the engine never runs long enough to burn off the condensation that builds up over night.
Good luck with it.

That condensation build up has happened to me a lot, especially when I lived overseas and could only drive the car a few miles a day. I would do as suggested about changing the oil, then take it for a 1 or 2 hundred mile road trip. Sunday afternoon cruise????
im not sure how much water is in there, but on the dip stick theres a good amount... yes i think it might be the crankcase as well...whats the operating temp?
Ok so i changed the oil right away...when i drained it a good amount of water came out first than followed by the oil...Ive been driving the car for a about 3 weeks now and i havent smelled anything odd or seen any smoke from my engine...i mean my temperature gage never hardly rises...im going to change the thermostat, and crankcase gasket...than im going to use wash and clean the engine and drive it for another week...any suggestions on how to wash the motor really good? I have an electronic distributor so can i just water the engine bay with a pressure hose? or should i just by degreaser and spray every where, than clean it 1hr later?
soaring ill check the cap right away...do u really think driving my car for 100 miles can fix my problem...i only drive the car for about 30 minutes a day... my school is just about 1.5 miles away from my house.
If it is condensation, then driving it 100 miles will dry up the water, but if it is a head gasket, then you really need to get it changed. Since you said a great deal of water came out with the oil change, then I suspect you have a gasket problem. The white smoke won't come from the engine area. It will be white smoke coming out the tail pipe.
