Default Vacuum lines?

Are these vacuum lines? Where do the other ends go ...they are just hanging out in my engine compartment.....along with another hard line coming from my carb just aiming torwards the ground....connects to nothing.

if the car runs fine i wouldnt worry about but its a good idea to replace all the vacum lines and caps to make for a leak free engine that has a smooth idle!
