Default Fuel Line

I need the replacement line that goes from the fender to the pump. What size line is it?

In my garage I have two lines never used.
One 3/8 XL fuel line that says not for fuel injected cars made in america...
And one 5/16 300 psi with flame resistant cover.

I have 5/16 " on my 65. I guess it wouldn't really matter. Heck, we used to use garden hoses on the old hot rods back in the late 50's. Of course, we were running some serious pumps to quad carbs too. Either one will work. That second one sounds interesting.

I just replaced mine with 3/8 inch soft hose. Flows really well.

I also got pre-bent stainless from NPD, tank to pump, and it worked out real well for me.

I have a question about the Pump to Carb fuel line, is it safe to clear coat the fuel line? I just polished mine and I want it to stay new and shinny looking! Or is this some find of fire hazard?

That crooked line doesn't get hot enough to worry about the heat to it. You can powder coat it all you want, but a yearly or so buffing with a wire wheel will take care of the apperance of it. Now, don't get **** retentive on us.
