Default Engine price?

I just received a quote from DSS Racing for a 12-secondish car. They have quoted me about $5500 for it. I am not looking to build my own engine, crate is a must. So is this worth the price and will it put out the performance I want on my '69 stang? Thanks!

In a '69, I'd be looking at least to some stroked version of a 351W at a minimum. It is a stronger block, and has more torque for the heavier cars. You don't have to build it so far, or push it as hard as you will a 302.
If you were building an opentrack/auto-x car that would be different.

Yea i have a t-5 tranny right now, when that cracks, i'm going to upgrade to a t-56. Those things are ridiculously expensive, huh?

how much are you looking into paying for your t-56?
