Default AFR heads

Somebody was asking about which heads to buy, and I can't remember the thread. Anyhoo, I was digging around and found this about the AFR (Airflow Research) heads. I know a lot of guys are using the Edelbrock RPM heads with luck as well. And, there are other good heads out there. So, gang, which aftermarket aluminum heads do you prefer and why?

In My 69 I Have a 429 with D0VE heads so I can't really say anyting about that. But I'm Investing in a set of AFR's for my 5.0. There are enough review claiming more power over any other heads

I like the Trick Flow Twisted Wedge. The price was good and they make the rockers and push rods for it. I have seen a lot of people get on here and ask about what rockers to run with AFR's and Edelbrock's.

People considering new aftermarket heads, should also do a search in the 5.0 section

X2

someone posted the article that Im thinking of over in that section. it showed that the AFR heads matched the best of the group but outflowed any of the competition at low lift. For my money I dont think Id use anything BUT AFR.

i like the looks of the new RHS heads. same castings as the old pro-topline's. for the price difference i would go with the rhs's, their flow numbers are almostr as good as the AFR's. they are my next big purchase for my 408w.
