Default vin # ?

My VIN number on my ownership is 7F02512907 my problem is the fifth digit which should be a letter to tell the engine type. Does anyone know if this is just a typo or
is there another explanation. The engine I have is a 390 which should be represented by an S .

any info is welcome

are you reading the vin off of the car itself, or the paperwork? Many times a 5 and an S are mistaken for one another, and the titles get typed up wrong. I know, I am a used car dealer.

If you have a 390, and you are certain the car was built this way, then your vin code would indeed have an S.
