Well, the Lokar is about the best out there and the cost will be about $75.. From looking at you're pics, it looks like you're missing the kick down rod. If that's true, finding one is next to impossible and there is a guy out there that makes them. But, there like $60 each. FInding one on ebay is a hit and miss.

ummm tips on which one? Any cheap ones out there that will work? This whole kickdown deal seems to be adding up faster than I thought.

Isnt the kickdown rod the rod the same rod the throttle linkage attaches to? This is the bottom of the accelerator pedal rod dealy.

Nope, there are two rods. There is the one for the accelerator and there is another one that attaches to the carb and that one goes down the the kick down lever on the tranny.

I bought my accelerator linkage from Autozone. It was generic braided cable similiar to what Lokar has. Was about $30 dollars - fit fine. Check out below link gives a picture on how bracket for Holley works part number is srk-4000. I checked on getting replacement rod. Only place I could find one for 1970 was salvage yard in Florida - they wanted a $100 - if you are not concerned about stock - much better way to go - easier to adust - looks cleaner etc.
