Default Question of value

i have a 1972 Mach 1 with 42K miles on it. it has a 351 cleveland and 3speed auto. the modifications on the car are

MSD ignition
posi-trac diff.
torker351 manifold
edelbrock 650cfm carb (elec. choke)
small cam .... don't know the specs, it was in the car when i got it
long tubes

the car sounds awesome and drives like a dream. I was thinkin about selling it though because i need to pay for college, but i don't know what a decent price is. i was thinking like 16K idk. If somebody could give me a price on what they think i should ask for it that would be great.

by the way, i didn't put this in the classified section because the car isn't actually for sale yet

here are some pics......yea, i should have vaccumed the car[&:]

Look around on the net. Ebay items and other car finding/selling sites would be a good place to start. Are the heads 2V or 4V? Can you post a pic of the engine if you arent sure about them? Specifically the front upper portion of the head near the intake manifold. There will be a 2 or a 4 there.

It looks solid and in decent shape, $16k isnt too far off if its not all rust under the purdy paint. A 2V headed Cleveland wont bring quite that much, but you can try.

If it were mine, I would keep it. Unless you arent a car guy..lol.. if you are then you will miss it forever after its gone.

The cowl, torque boxes, inner fenderwells, rocker panels, and the trunk above the gas tank are problem areas not easily seen. Still if its a southern car it should be okay.

Getting that much for a 4V car with zero rust shouldnt be too tough. If it was a 429 car you would have a goldmine...
