New Granada calipers
Fellow Mustangers. I need your opinion. The links at the bottom is a photo of prototypes of one of my new products; replacement Granada calipers. These calipers are direct reproductions except that I have used stainless steel pistons. The caliper has an electroplated green-chromate coating.
My question. Is the corrosion protection afforded by the coating and stainless steel pistons important to you? Is the protective coating worth another $2 per caliper your cost. Is the green color too funky, or does it matter?
Are stainless steel pistons worth another $5 per caliper.
I am also thinking of including speed bleeders. Are speed bleeders worth another $4 per caliper over standard bleeders?
I would appreciate your advice.

The green color is funky but I would prefer those to have a good base to paint over vice raw steel. The stainless postons are worth $10 and i would gladly pay the extra for them. $8 bucks for the bleeders seems a little high. Just my 2 cents.

would definatly go with the stainless for a few bucks more. the speed bleeders do seem a bit pricey, but, i don't think i would have too much of a problem paying a few bucks more for some convience. what's the total cost. stainless with the speed bleeders?
at this point, with my right SSBC front disc brake locking up because i think the piston is rusted, i would say, hell yes corrision protection is important. im dreading taking it to a place because i know its gonna cost a lot ot get it fixed. like the first stop or two after not driving it for a while the wheel just locks up and skids then it works ok after that but pulls to that side sometimes.

I'm working on 68-73 type caliper bracket and caliper as well.
I've edited the picture on the original thread and linked it below. This pic shows the color better. The old picture made the coating look lime colored. The actual color is olice drab.

Thanks
The stainess steel would be my choice just for that few extra bucks. I wouldn't care for the speed bleeders though. Repainting them with an epoxy paint wouldn't cause me any heartache. Dennis, PM me....
