Default Cam specs

I would like to know what some of you think about this cam as far as it's specs and how you think it would be performance wise. Would you use it in a 289/302 if you were rebuilding with HP in mind, but going to use as a daily driver?

its pretty tame but has the needed duration on the exhaust side if you are using a stock iron head. Ford iron heads are terrible, minus the C head

Yep, using with 289 heads that have been ported and with 1.84 intake valves.

little short on the duration on intake side but could get crazy and do chevy style and run split rocker ratios to increase lift and fill the cylinder a little more. That cam will be fine.

Specs on that cam look to be very similar to the edelbrock Performer RPM cam. Therefore a good mid range/ daily driver cam. However, keep in mind that Edelbrock recommends either a manual trans, or bigger rear end gearing and mild stall for their cam. Not sure about the rest of your the setup. You mentioned you ahve larger intake valves, what about the exhaust side? Surely you havent gone larger in the intake and left the exhaust valves stock??

As far as tranny, its 4 spd top loader. To be honest I can't recall the exhaust valve size. That gives me an excuse to pay a visit to the shop that rebuilt it to refresh my memory.
