Default I got my car back!!!

Well guys after a long time of waiting, i finally got my car back, and i love it..

New Manual Transmission Swap
New Steering
New Suspension
New Seats
New Wheels
New Carpets
New Gauges
New Brakes

The only left to do on this baby is an engine now....

I love it and once i get a nice day (hopefully tomorrow) I'm going to take some pictures and post em...

on a funny note...

On the way home from the shop, The car stalled out in the middle lane of a three lane highway, and i was sitting there for about 15 minutes trying to start it back up. It was ****ty, but it was still funny. Gave me a reason to floor it when it started back up.

It feels so much better as a stick car then an auto. That is the best thing I could have done for the car.

Sounds like you are making a lot of progress Chris. I'll bet it was a little scary stopped in the middle lane. What engine are you going to get? Or, are you going to overhaul the old one?

I am thinking of going with a 351W. But it all depends on the budget. This past work turned out to be alittle more than I expected[].

I've been looking into T&L engines and they said they can do a 351W at a reasonable price, Just need to make about another 2 grand, and i'll ready to order up an engine.

Yeah, a "built" 351W that produces about 400 HP is about 3 grand for the short block, then add another 2 grand for the heads and upgraded cam. But, you can probably find a builder in your area that will do it cheaper.

It's a beautiful sun shiny day here in central Texas, but hotter than hell. 90 in the shade.

I'm jealous that you have nice weather Glen. I'm hoping for a break tomorrow, i'm going to tune up the good old 289 with some new wires, plugs, air filter, and some other things, then I'm going to take it out for a ride with my father, then i'll take as many pictures as my camera can hold. for now, its in my garage and i can barely get on the side of it to get a good picture.

Sorry, but it will have to wait a day...
