Default seat safety

Anyone put any after market Recarro type seats in their classics or the headrest modifacation to the original seats? I am planning on using my classic for a daily driver (or at least alternating with my 2005 STI, so much fun to drive) and don't like the lack of head rest on the original seats - I live in Los Angeles so the chance of being rear ended are probably higher than anywhere on the planet. Also, I am going for more of a hot rod look than classic car so I am not that tied down to the original. Thanks

Just go to any junk yard and pick out the seats you like. Take the runners off the bottom of your classic seats and add them to the new seats. Walllllaaaahhh! Ricarro seats are nice, but very 'spensive.

I could take the seats out of my 87 toyota supra that I have garaged and put in - these are some of the most comfortable seats I have ever had - the only down side is that the driver seat is hydraulic = heavy

rmodel65, do you mean the headrest mod for $199 (this is cheaper than what I had seen)? This would keep the integrity of the car - I actually like the seats of the old mustangs from "a look" perspective.
