Idle speed way too high
I have a 1968 Mustang with a 200 Straight-6 engine, Carter YF1 carburetor, C-4 automatic transmission. I bought it late last year and drove it a few times before storing it for the winter (outdoors but covered). Took it out this morning for the first time in months. Started up ok, but the engine idle speed did not drop after the car had warmed up. Ran ok, but shifting from park to reverse was quite a jolt and when I got to work and put it in park, the engine began to race.
I am a novice at working on cars. What can I do to adjust the idle speed?

I hadn't started it since January. Where on the carburetor is the choke? I have the shop manual for the car but I'm not sure what I'm looking for. I have some pictures of the carburetor at http://www.geocities.com/sixtee8stan..._Pictures.html If you could look at those pics and tell me what I need to adjust, I'd be extremely grateful!
I have a 68 200 in my 66. Had a similar problem. Your heat choke is probably rusted and/or not functioning well. Rebuilding the carb and/or try lubing all adjustments may help.
Pic is my Holley 1V carb.
Good Luck

if it didn't do that before, I would leave that screw alone(it's the one on the thing the throttle cable is connected to by the way), it's got to be something related to the auto choke stuff being stuck in the cold start position, I would try lubing up all parts related to that that look like they might be sticking

Which screw do I need to turn to adjust this?
