Default Driveway Stains

How do you get your driveway stains up? Should I just go buy some coke and pour it every where? Pressure wash them?

I got a nice combo of tranny/oil all in the driveway.. [:@]

I own a pressure washing company and even we can't get those out sometimes. Try renting a pressure washer if they're fresh. If they aren't then call a pressure washing company. They should use oxalic acid and a surface cleaner to get it out. If you really want it gone and a pressure washer wont get it out then you could probably seal your driveway but that's pretty time consuming.

Don't just use the Simple Green from the grocery store designed for household use though. Go to an auto parts place and get the Simple Green designed for cleaning engines. You could also use some degreaser too. After you get it all cleaned and dry, go to Ace hardware and get a couple of gallons of "Sealtech" sealant and use a paint roller to apply it to your driveway. That stuff will keep water from damaging your concrete driveway, and makes cleaning up oil a snap. Good stuff!

I have used liquid laundry detergent and it works great. Just pour it on w/100% coverage and let it sit. Let the sun and rain rremove it. Don't seal until you are happy with how it looks or you will lock in the stains.

Was it a tar or concrete parking lot? Most of the products meant for blacktop won't work on concrete.

My DA brother has a bar-b-cue cooker on his back concrete porch, and some of the grease from the cooker got on his concrete. Well, he used muriatic acid to remove it. Yeah, it removed it.......with about a 1/16 inch of the concrete. [sm=badidea.gif]

I wasn't there when he did it, and I didn't ask him how much time he let it sit before washing it off, but he said the earth worms were running like hell when he washed it into the grass.
