Default 'Sprint' Questions

My car has the Sprint 200 chrome air cleaner/sticker, and does not have the chrome quarter ornaments, it also has the center console and was made in July 1966 which leads me to believe it is a Sprint. However, it doesn't have the wire wheels (they could have been replaced I guess). I know the Sprint package has an accent strip, however, I can't find a picture of one. Does anyone know where this strip is? Also, does anyone know where I could get a nice set of the wired wheels for a good price? I'm also looking for another (OEM or good reproduction) chrome air cleaner since mine is very rusty.

I found and bought a nice OEM style air cleaner (and sticker) from National Parts Depot, but am still trying to find a good set of wheel covers.[sm=smiley1.gif]

Most of the mustang parts houses have the wire wheel covers but they're not cheap. Mustangs Unlimited is like $85 a piece but I know I saw them for under $70 somewhere else. I have the right wheel covers and air cleaner but no console on my 66, born June 1, San Jose. Where does the strip go? I'm about half way to a pony interior, maybe I should get the other millionth mustang stuff, too.

I've got a set of wire wheel covers in the classifieds (with pictures). $50.00 for the set of four and $30.00 shipping. They are in really great condition. They are reproductions, and have the spinners.

the strpie your are talking about is a 1/4 inch pinstrpe that starts from the front fender at the body line and continues back and follows the c contour till the end of the door. In 1966 it was a $32 option and im not sure if it came on the sprints but i know it was available

Is this that red accent stripe you are talking about Joe? I haven't seen one either, but it was an option for the Sprint cars.
