Hi, We have an '06 and a '67 Mustangs and the front emblems are EXACTLY the same. (size, shape, & detail) Were all years exactly like these or have they changed over the years and made it back what they started with? (assuming the '641/2 is like the '67)

 

Which side emblem? The horse with the red, white, blue stripes, or the word "Mustang" or both? Get us a shot of the new one so we can compare. Here is a shot of my 65, and a shot of my 03. They look the same to me.

On the Mustang II's, the pony wasn't galloping, it was trotting.

 

Sorry I meant the front grill "Mustang" (running horse) emblem. I know the '06 has NO emblem but the "GT" on the side. Picture is in the first post but here are a few more.

All of the cool mustangs have the same horse! That's why the mustang II's dont. because they suck. (I think they are some of the ugliest vehicles ever, but we dont have to get into that now ) That looks like the mustang that was on my 65, then I took it off to make a shelby look alike [8D]

 

The front running horse in the grille on the 65 is 8" from tip of nose to tip of tail. On the 03, it is only 6" from tip of nose to tip of tail. As you know, the 05 and up were designed after the 67, so your's may very well be the same size. But, to answer your question, no they are not all the same size from 65-06. The 65 also has the corral, whereas your 06 does not.

I never thought about or even noticed, but sure enough, the II's horse is only galloping.
