If you have a factory A code car, the question is does it have factory disc brakes? Please only vote if you have an A code car so we can get an idea about this. I had always learned that ALL A code cars had disc brakes but everyone is telling me I'm wrong.

 

my fastback had drum brakes from the factory and its an "A"code car the disc were optional and standard on the gt which had to be either an "A" or a "K" code car

 

Looks like I'll be eating crow. Did some more reseach on line and can't find a thing about the A codes but I found a thing that says the K codes only had disc brakes as an option. If it was only an option the K code it must have only been an option on the A code also. Sorry I stand corrected. I'm so ashamed! I never claimed to know everything but I am willing to learn. I learned something today so I feel good about that.

my fist 65 was an a code coupe looked just like soarings it had drums in the front!

Factory GT's are the Only cars that had Disk brakes....A code only means it was a 4 barrel engine....

 

A code- factory drums with no power.
