Default update on body work for my mustang

ok, i stripped the paint from the areas i know i have rust and sanded all i could by hand. then i brought out the air grinder and after i finished with about a 1/4 of all the areas i need to grind down, my compressor stopped working. so i called it a day, took some pics, and came inside. here is what it looks like after 2 days of paint stripping, cutting myself on rust, going to the hospital for a tetanis shot, coming back and continue working.

thats my dads mach 1 in the garage

Are you going to repair the rust holes with steel? or just going to bondo it up? I looks as though there is still a lot of paint and bondo around the rust areas which will still need to be removed, especially if you are going to weld new metal in. I used some discs from 3M called "clean and strip" They cut through paint and bondo really easily, but dont cut or damage the metal surface at all. I've found them a lot better to use that grinding discs, or sanding discs. Of course Im in Australia, and I don't know if you can get them in the US, but there will definitely be something similar.

why did u have to get a tentanus shot? rust is inorganic! was it a deep puncture wound u would need a booster if it was. its an old wives tail about rusty objectsusually nails cause they are usually the deep punctures wounds

first off, its not painted on 69, my chemical stripper is in a spraycan, and i had to wait 10-15 minutes, and i got bored so i stripped off a portion in the shape of a '69'. second, my brother put the anarchy thing on there, and i got most of it off. third, i was getting the aint and bondo off, and it turns out my powerstrip blew, thats why my air compressor stopped working, but now that it is fixed i have all day tomarrow. fourth, im not bondoing anything if i dont have too those clean and strip things, but ill go look around tomarrow morning. and finally, it was kind of deep, about a quarter of an inch, my mom took me cause she was freaking out, i didnt mind, i got out of work

Walmart carries a liquid paint stripper u brush on that will be much cheaper and faster. U could do a hood in a half hour. I think its 5 bucks for a quart. I did my entire trunk area with it and have half the can left...

If your talking about the aircraft paint stripper in a can, thats expensive. Im not sure of the coverageof the cans, but im positive the liquid will do more surface area. Just buy 2 cans, and acouple cheap paintbrushes. It will bubble up and practically fall off. I used a putty knife to scrape it off faster.
