my wheel cylinders keep blowing out and my shoes keep cracking. the guy at the parts store said it was caused by the heat. should i buy engine enamel paint for my drums? and my dad told me all i had to do is replace the parts that are broke. well screw that im going all out on this

Were the anchor pins rusted out on you? If not, just use the old ones. Usually, all you have to do is replace the shoes. Explain about the shoes keep cracking. Never heard of such an animal. You may have something hooked up wrong. Do you need pics of the correct install?

Also put a micrometer on those drums and see if they are over sized.

Make sure you have you shoes adjusted up enough too. Your cylinders shouldn't be moving enough to blow out new wheel cylinders.

Do you know which way the seals go in? Should be like this }(spring){ The parentasise () are the seals and the }{ are the pistons. The lip on the seal points in.

If they are riveted shoes try going with bonded. I think what you are calling an anchor pin I call the hold down spring pin. I always learned that the anchor pin is the pin at the top that both shoes seat against.

How can you be missing that? I thought it was part of the backing plate.
