my wheel cylinders keep blowing out and my shoes keep cracking. the guy at the parts store said it was caused by the heat. should i buy engine enamel paint for my drums? and my dad told me all i had to do is replace the parts that are broke. well screw that im going all out on this

Were the anchor pins rusted out on you? If not, just use the old ones. Usually, all you have to do is replace the shoes. Explain about the shoes keep cracking. Never heard of such an animal. You may have something hooked up wrong. Do you need pics of the correct install?
im missing the anchor pins on mine now. the shoes crack near the middle across the shoe. i have it set up according to the 1966 ford shop manual. the only thing is i dont have the emergacy brake hooked up.
If they are riveted shoes try going with bonded. I think what you are calling an anchor pin I call the hold down spring pin. I always learned that the anchor pin is the pin at the top that both shoes seat against.
