There is a company that advertizes in Street Rodder Magazine that does power windows for hot rods. Can't find there add at the moment but I'll look in some back issues. They use normal window cranks for switches to maintain the original look and feel. This doesn't do much for reaching the rear windows remotely, but if original appearance is important to you It might be of interest.

There is another company that offers the same concept as the Hotronic version which I also think have been out much longer. The company is AutoLoc which also is the same company that offers power windows, alarms, and power doors.
Part # for them is a EWS-2 which is for the Ford round splines. This company also offers a remote switching mechanisim that allows you to also control passenger side EWS-K. I have 68 FB so I only need the two windows, but im sure its just a matter of changing the switch and adding more relays for the rear windows.

Sorry, but I personally don't like this idea. I like all the chrome I can get. I think that the original window regulator handles look awesome, and taking them out would detract from the interior. It's been said here before--it's your car and you should do what makes you happy. I'm sure if I saw something like that at a car show I would think it was cool, it's just not for me.

There's a company who makes a switch that enables you to keep your window handles and operate the power motors with them.

I really don't like the cruiser consoles. I am having a '68 Shelby console modified to fit my bench seat-equipped '67 from Mustang Connection...basically this:

...without the compartment/armrest. I will be mounting the switches there.

I am doing the rear quarter windows as well...and power door locks. Original be damned. I want some convenience.

I think your missing the point as the Hotronic and AutoLoc sytems/switchs mount behind the orignal ***** in the door, a totally hidden system. As you use the original crank 1/4 turn up/down as your switch for a stock appearance. The only thing that shows would be a remote switch if you want to control muliple windows from one crank.

So how does this fit behind/under your stock handles? She's also saying that she wants it in the center console.

I do like the hotronics/autoloc idea, but i'd have to see it in action before I was sold.

I tried to have them put into my car but the repro regulators were an issue -- something about needing to fish a wire in a straight line and mine curved so badly they could not wire it.

I figured I'd be stuck with a window I could crank up only if I hired a muscle-bound hunk to do so.

I'll be doing mine next week I think as I've worked it out (so far) and the switches will be put on my center console -- I have a humphugger type that can easily be removed, so they can run the wires under the carpeting.

My price is $400 installed.
