yea, i was really happy lol. the best thing is that it already had crager style rims with low profile tires and it has a true dual exhuast system which as i said before i think they are glasspacks. the only thing this car need to be street legal is a tail light. which is good, but the guy i got it from lost the keys to the doors/trunk in the trinity river about 5 years ago (im assuming that the trunk and doors are the same key becuase my ignition key doesnt work on the doors, which sucks becuase i cant lock the car once i get it streetable) I was wondering what would be the best way to go about getting replacement keys? or would i have to get all new locks....cuz that would kinda suck. thnx for all the info guys

Today I went to go and look at what i thought was a 67 mustang fastback with an automatic trans and a 289, my dad had told me it was a friend of his and he wanted to sell it for $1250, i was told it only had 800 miles on the rebuilt engine and tranny. i had seen pictures of the car and had seen it from a distance (driving by) but never upclose. my dad talked me into buying and today when i went to go pick it up i was informed that i was not a 67 but i was indeed a 66 fastback. which i was very happy (i like them much more) then i looked inside and noticed that it wasnt an auto! it was a 3 speed. Which is good cuz i wanted a manual trans but bad becuase i havent ever drivin one lol. after i took the car back to my house (on a car tower) my moms boyfriend took me for a ride around the block and he stepped on it and boy let me tell u, that things got some *****. And its only a 289 with a 2v, glasspacks and headers. It does need some work, but about %90 is body work which i am happy about
ill try to post some pics tomorrow for u guys

mcf 67, your ignition key should be on it's own. my 66 has an ign key and door/trunk keys (don't have that one myself either) are a seperate key. you can get trunk/ign cyl's and door cyl's with keys at a decent price if you can install them yourself. the ign and trunk are easy. i dunno about the FB's but for my coupe, i just had to remove the rear seat back, crawl in to the trunk and un-bolt the assy to get it open, taking the cyl out is a breeze. you should be able to remove it in just a few minutes. your ign cylyou just need the key and a large paperclip. there sould be a small hole in the cylinder, this is where you insert the paperclip. than you put the key in and turn counter clockwise, you should be able to remove the cyl like that.
try www.mustangdepot.com for your cylinders. they have a good price on them.
