Default Where does the warrant plate go??

Can anyone please post a PICTURE of where on the driver's door the warranty plate goes on a 66'? Explanation is helpful, but a picture is worth a thousand words. I should be getting my new data plate in the mail any day, but need to know the exact position on the door to rivet it on.

Thanks so much.

There are predrilled holes in the door. When you get your plate you will see where it goes.

Here is a pic for you. They do NOT install with pop rivets. There is an special rivet for those that you can get from the mustang vendors on line. The pic is of a 65

I've already got the special rivets, just waiting for the plate to arrive. Thanks for the photo, sure helps a lot!!

Anyone know how to install the rivets? They don't have a center post to use a rivet gun. Do you use a hammer a tap them to mushroom something??? I'll have to look at them again when I get home.

They just tap in. If they are not tight you may have to use a dolly on the outside and tap them slightly from inside to mushroom them. I've never had to do that though.

The position of the data plate is at an angle most likely so you have access to the bolts and screws necessary to change out the door and window hardware. They appear to me to be aluminum rivets. Is that true? I haven't taken any off or added any, so don't know. Pretty unique to modern cars though with their stickers.

They are aluminum rivets just not pop rivets. I call them rivets but they are more like a button that pops in the hole. Here is a pic showing the front and back of the rivets.
