Default Aftermarket Shorty Headers

Anyone know of an aftermarket shorty header for a 302 that roughly has the same exit for the driver's side stocker?

I've been wanting to replace my stock headers/manifolds with something that breathes a little better (head swap coming in the near future), but I have the stock clutch equalizer in a '71 Mustang. The clutch linkage is in perfect shape and I'd prefer not to have to change out to a cable clutch. There is plenty of room around the linkage, but the manifold would need to pretty much go down around #7 (#6 would work too) instead of back out of #8.

I'm already producing a good amount of power with the stockers (6500 rpm at 5200 feet altitude...plenty of pull up to 6200...just not enough)

I've looked around Denver, but haven't found a shop that stocks aftermarket 302 headers to compare, and really don't want to pay restocking fees for each brand that doesn't fit...

I can post a pic if you don't know what a stock 302 exhaust header looks like...

I was looking for shorty headers to run on my 67 with a T5 and stock equalizer bar. I never could find any. went with long tube MAC headers.

Try 5.0 headers or even stock exhaust, which may be tube type anyway.
I thought I saw some in Jegs or Summit.

5.0 is not gonna work. It will not clear the equalizer bar.

I have had the exact same problem with my 69 Fastback. I got long tube headers with the car that were not installed. The z-bar hits the headers keeping it from going through its full motion. I ended up buying a 65 289 z-bar, and spaced it out with washers about 1/4 inch on the engine side (the 65 289 z-bar is about a quarter inch shorter than my 351W z-bar). This clears the headers and the steering stuff, and feels solid. I know there are a number of ways to do this but my problem is that I don't know what they are. I have seen a number of 69 351 Windsor cars with 4-speeds just like mine for sale on EBay that have hooker headers. I have not found a header that the manufacturer specifies as fitting a car equip with a top loader, so I emailed hooker headers to try to find out more. It may be that custom headers are necessary for this application.
