Battery panel
Ive got a 68 fastback that has some rust problems, as u would expect. The panel that has the battery case thing attatched to it is all rusted out. I was just wondering what that panel is actually called, so i can buy a replacement. Also if anyone knows how that specific panel comes off, it looks like it is welded and bolted in.
Thanx for ur time

Thanx Glen..I've seen that one before. It deals with a "cut and patch" process of the apron rather than the installation of the entire fender apron piece. Like the OP, I want to replace the whole piece but unsure as to how to do it and what is involved with the removal....
Well, instead of cutting the new one, replace the entrire panel by taking off the outer fender, radiator support bracket, take out the bolts from the inner panel, cut the spot welds out, then replace with the new one and weld it in. However, it is rare that the entire panel would need to be replaced as they usually only rust out below the battery tray.
