If you are searching rally stripes it turns into a 5 day search.

i searched for mustang stripes, but i use yahoo and not google.
I always thought it would be cool to use shelf paper. Then you could have flowers, or cows, or yellow wicker looking stuff!
And you could change it anytime you washed the car!
Doesn't that sound awesome!
If you are bound and determined to do vinyl Le Mans stripes, I'd go to a place that makes signage (yellow pages should pull up a place near you). These folks deal with all kinds of different materials and could set you up with quality stuff.
When I was an apprentice in the mid 70's (the days of big hair, big heels and even bigger vinyl graphics) I installed all kinds of this stuff. It was a real PITA to lay the stuff down straight and not get bubbles. I used to use a water/isopropal alcohol mix and spray down the whole area I was applying the graphic to. then used a real soft paddle for laying on glazing putty to squeegy out the water. Worked really well, but it was still a pain. To lay down graphics on my dirt bikes now-a-days I just use window cleaner and the same paddle for smoothing glazing putty.
(IMO) Paint is a better way to go.
Good luck.

Yes I agree, go to the signage place for vinyl stripes application, you won't do it right yourself if its the first time.
But I also agree, paint is the way to go. The vinyl should be kept off a classic unless you want to pay for it in the near future.
