Default newbie with questions

ok i have been looking into getting a mustang for a long time. the more i look the more i want a classic stang. the only problem is i dont know anything about classic cars. can someone give me some links to websites about classic stangs (like where i can see the differences in years and the specs)? another question i have is if i get a classic mustang i will need it to be a daily driver. are these mustangs reliable enough to be a daily driver or is it pretty much depends on the condition of the car? i found a few cars and i will post links to them and you car tell me if they are good buys or not. i am really just shopping around trying to get a feel for what i want so please let me know what you think of these and i appreciate you answering my questions.

These cars can definatley be trusted as Daily Drivers. They will have the occaisonal little things happen to them though. I've drove my 1970 F100 now about 60 miles a day for 5 years and have never had a single problem. As far as those cars go, I definatley would not go with the 468 big block with 4:11's. It's not one that you would want as a daily driver. You'll want something a little milder for that.

You can daily drive them but they require constant attention.

I disagree on that. I don't think they require constant attention. Just the normal maintenance. My mustang has never even had the carb rebuilt. I overhauled the motor in my truck when I got it and the only thing I've done to it in five years is put a clutch in it and a wheel bearing.

My car is a 65 coupe automatic 289 v8. It's my daily driver, I'm no super mechanic, I can fix little things but she's been pretty good to me. Havent been stranded yet, only one time did she over heat (i was goin way to fast for way to long) KNOCK ON WOOD! You just have to make them safe and reliable. I put a petronix igniton, 4 wheel stainless steel disc brakes (discs but not power better than drums though) and simpson harnesses. (no airbags+hitting something at highwayspeed = bad news bears)

First car (race car) is a no go for a DD, second car is a possible canidate (keep your foot out of it or gas mileage will kill you) and the third one looks like it would be alright if you put some big bucks into it. Good luck with your search!
