9inch rear cost?
I know a guy who is selling a 9" rear with 3.73 gears. Apparently it is completely new/rebuilt with disc brakes.
He said he would sell it to me for $1200, good price? Also, he was going to put it in a '67, would it bolt straight up to my 69?

I saw one online for 900 today. I don't think there were brakes on it but, either way, for a brand new one with any ration you want it isn't bad. I think they had free shipping, I'm going to have to look at it again at some point.
Before you do that, you can always take a look in a junk yard... It's a little more work, but here I can get a rear end for 1/10th the price you're getting it for and put on my own brakes.. Food for thought.
You still have to rebuild the center section, install new axle bearings/seals, and rebuild the brakes...on top of hoping the perches line up.
Then, you still have the stock housing, stock axles, and stock 3rd member. You can buy a stout new axle complete for not a whole lot more than you'd spend to completely rebuild a junk yard piece. And, you'd really want to completely rebuild a junk yard piece due to how long it's been sitting without use collecting moisture and rusting.
