Default K&N

ok, i want to get the K&N x-stream assembly. i want to get the 14in. wide and 4in. tall. My question is what in the diffrence from raised/dropped base style?
note: i want it to fit under my stock 65 hood with a holley carb.

Drop base is just that. The base of the air cleaner is dropped around the carb, generally about an inch.

Measure the distance between the top of your carb and the hood. You may not have room for that tall of an air cleaner.

Ya I got this one a few weeks ago, http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku and I have a shelby hood scoop with a hole cut in the hood and the hood wont shut all the way in the back. I think its because the hole is too small by 2 inches. I also have a Holley carb. I'm pretty sure that 4in filter isnt going to fit under a stock hood, but maybe i'm wrong.
