Default Cleaning/Painting Engine Compartment

Now that I have the carb and valve covers off what all should I be pressure washing, cleaning, painting, etc? I'm kind of worried about getting water in the wrong place or painting something wrong.

Put your valve covers back on, and plug the intake with plastic. You won't want to get any water inside the engine. Also put a zip lock over your dizzy. We have a how-to detail your engine bay in the Faq. Some pretty good tips there.
