The most dificult part of that project would be finding a '66 with a V6.

Look up above in the FAQ's there are answers to all kinds of good questions like that.

Good luck,

Hook has been baited. Waiting to catch a fish. Seriously though, you have a ligitimate queston for a newbie. If you have a V6 Mustang, you need to go to the V6 section to have your question answered.

So exactly what engine do you have? A 289 with 2 dead cylinders?

In answer to your question: Yes, I could.

damn guys.... when did we turn into the street section??? this guy a legitimate question, and no one seems to be correcting him.

there wasnt a V6 engine back then, it was an Inline 6. and yes, if you swapped it out, you would need new suspension and brakes, but thats not all, the rear and tranny will need to be replaced also. check the FAQ's

you would need the new engine, trans, driveshaft, diff, suspension at all four corners, V8 spindles, upgrade the brakes (at least the front) to disc, oh, and new exhaust. and the most important element is dead presidents.
