Default Thrush Mufflers

Does anyone know if the old school thrush glasspack is still made. It has a picture of the thrush bird on it. My car has one on it right now, but its about 25 years old and I really like the sound of it. I was thinking about getting dual exhaust with two of the thrush mufflers.

Turbo Thrush Mufflers. They really don't sound -much- different than stock. They are cheap though. I would not cut a stainless steel stock system out to put these on.

If you are talking about the type with the end caps rolled over, I don't think they make them anymore. The new style looks more like a Cherry Bomb with a one piece case that tapers down to the inlet/outlet pipes.

Yeah, I was talking about the old style. Mine has one on it now. It is round and has a picture of the thrush logo painted on it.

I put a set of corvair turbo mufflers from NAPA on my 69 F100 back in 1985. They still are in tact and have no rust or pitting. Never thought they would last this long.

Talking about old mufflers. Anyone remember the Smitty mufflers? They were like a straight through glass pack, but they used steel wool instead of fiberglass. Sounded like straight pipes slightly muffled. Lots of crackle. I had a set on a '66 442. My parents said they could hear me coming home as soon as I turned off the highway about a mile and a half away.
