On the front of my C4 there is a large rectangle cutout and two holes for bolts where you can see right in the tranny? is this where the inspection plate mounts up, will it hurt to run it without a plate on there?

 

umm i don't think it will hurt but it would be a good idea to replace cause i am sure it help keep dirt and rocks from entering
