When I was a teenager, my old man was a cotton farmer, and when in the Spring he said "go to plantin'" I dropped the planter behind the John Deere and went to planting the cotton seeds. So, if the conditions are right for you, then " got to plantin."
That welder will serve your purposes very well, so "go to plantin."

If you're burning holes then your heat is up to high. If you feel it kind of backing itself into your hand then you have wire speed up to high. If it archs goes away archs goes and you feel your hand drifting towards the weld turn wire speed up. If the same thing happens, but instead of your hand drifting the wire feed begins to stick then turn the heat up.

Definatly don't mix beer in with your projects. I've done that to many times and had to tear it all apart the next day, becasue what looks good after a couple of beers, uh not so much in the morning.
