Default New Suspension Needed

I'm looking to install a brand new suspension on my 67 coupe. I saw this kit from Laurel Mountain Mustang called the Super Suspension Kit for $774. Money is an issue (as always) and I'm not looking for a show stopper but an almost daily driver as this car will have antique plates.

Any info would be great...

Thanks,

laurelmountain seems like a good store to me, i usually go there because its only an hour away...

i believe the kit your talking about is the full rear and front suspension package with all hardware and pretty decent quality material. i think you can get a full package cheaper if you get close to stock items...like 350

Pardon my iggnorance but I'm new to this restoration stuff.....

I thought that what they sold was close to stock. Are these items upgraded? And also, do you have a recommendation where I can find less expensive items? What do you recommend I keep stock and what do you recommend I upgrade?

Lol, well I'm not an expert either so we'll have to pull in someone else on this one. I believe the expensive one(the 700 something) is an upgraded one and the 350 or so is more stockish. I would have to look at the site information. What are you planning to do to your car as in style and performance>?

Yes, I believe it is the entire suspension all for $774.00.
The website is www.laurelmountainmustang.com and the kit is called the Super Suspension Kit.

I'm not looking to do expensive upgrades. I'm looking to have a Sunday driver that functions without worry and looks great. The car has been sitting for fifteen years with all original parts and probably bushings and rust has taken its toll on most of these parts and the frame. Since I have the suspension already out, I thought about replacing the parts. Since we are on the subject of suspension, anyone know where I can find some stock strut rods for the 67 coupe? I can't seem to find them in any catalog. Do they just not make them? The ones I have taken off the threads look all but gone. I'm a bit scared to put them back on. I'll try to have some pics in the near future. In the mean time, you can check out my website. http://mysite.verizon.net/vzeqtr7d
Don't laugh, I'm new to all of this including being a webmaster.

I got mine on EBAY from classicmustang1980, it was a basic stock setup: upper & lower arms, sway bar bushings, spring seats and rubber for the top of the spring, strut rod bushings. Cost was a very reasonable $275 which also included shipping. He shipped very fast; buy it now on Sat, had parts by Fri (Conn to Denver). He also had a kit that had the rear springs also.
