standard or "n" case
Hello all,
I am putting together a nine inch rear end for my 1967 mustang. I have already got the housing, and 31 spline axles. Next up is the 3rd member/center section. I am going for a 31 spline traction lock differential and probably 3.70:1 gear ratio. What I need to know is should I go for the standard case or the stronger n case. Right now I have a 289 engine in that will eventually be swapped out for a 351windsor. I don't really plan to have mre than 500 horsepower when everything is said and done. Will the standard case be allright or do I need the stronger "n"case. Also would a rebuilt traction lock work or should I go for a new one! Thanks for the help, you guys rock!

a 289 isnt gonna have enough power to blow out a 9", and neither is 351W without some SERIOUS mods...
