Default price friendly power

Im curious to know what you guys think of these possible choices. I think they would be awesome. They're greatly priced powerful and reliable and have a warranty:

and

I know about the supporting mods but i really like these choices

I think that if you walk the junk yards you could find a great block have it machined and set up cheaper than that.

$1500 for motor and tranny on car-parts.com. It's cheap and it's the power you want. I won't do it because I love the carb, but it's definatly an option and a good one at that.

my whole thing with these choices is that later down the road when i get hungry for more i can do so. if you read the specs on the engine it's healthy, not much in the higher rpm's but rock solid. it's machined for a hydraulic cam already and if you drop in some heads and edel performer with a nice idle cam you've got a heavy performer, excellent reliability and options for later too.you won't get screwed in the long run in my opinion and there's no overbore

i have very little experience with carbs so if cheap reliable efi is possible. im basically leanin on the 351 because of the easy power gains. plus with the new alum heads it weighs about the same as stock 302 without wiring.

Keep your eyes open, I've seen that engine on sale for about $2K. Can't remember if it was an online Ford dealer, or Summit Racing. Might have been Stangstore

Also (just my opinion here). That is too much transmission. You'd save a lot of money, and have a much easier install with a T5. In order to install the T-600 properly, you need to modify the transmission tunnel. Do a search on a couple of the Mustang forums, and you will see some great write-ups using that transmission. There is a bunch of work involved. The T5 is practically plug and play.

Again just my thoughts. Both pieces are pretty bullet proof.

Here is a combo at about the same total price, but with a major performance difference

345HP Ford crate engine

T5z Cobra spec 5 speed

By the way these are good people. When I picked up the T5 from them it was about $68.00 for freight.

Just a thought,
